Butternut Bridge Crossing - 2019
A group of volunteers from the Litchfield Community Greenway assembled a pedestrian bridge to cross the Butternut Brook along Route 202. This section of the Greenway was completed in 2019.
In autumn of 2021, an all-volunteer group built a 400+ foot boardwalk over the wetlands along Bissell Road and through White Memorial, thereby completing Phase III of the Greenway. This stretch of the trail also includes a crosswalk with solar-powered, pushbutton, flashing warning lights.
